Rev. Katherine Farley currently serves as the full time Assistant to the Pastor and Minister of Education at the New Hope Baptist Church . She joined New Hope in May of 1994, and was ordained August 25, 1996 , under the leadership of Pastor James D. Peters, Jr. She is a member of the Board of Christian Education; she teaches New Members, Pre-baptism Class, and the Tuesday Afternoon Bible Study. Reverend Farley has received Fisk University 's Outstanding Leadership Award, and the Denver Chapter of American Association of University Women's Trailblazer Award in1996. Her favorite Scripture is, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thy own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5), her favorite book is the Bible, her favorite theologian is Dr. Howard Thurman and her favorite song is “Precious Lord.” Rev. Farley is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., of the Mu Omega Chapter in Aurora , Colorado . This year Rev. Farley was the keynote speaker for Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena , California for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday Celebration |

Mary Rowe English was born and raised in New Jersey . She has earned several degrees including a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Georgetown College , Georgetown , Kentucky ; a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Colorado at Denver ; a Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver . She has received post-masters' certificates from the Denver Family Institute in Denver and the Family Therapy/Play Therapy Institute in Aurora . Mary retired from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, in her position as the School of Nursing Director of Personnel & Facilities in 2002. She has been transitioning into her new career as a Family and Marriage Counselor since 1998 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2001 and a Systemic Play Therapist in 2004. In 2004, she and several colleagues created a non-profit counseling center. The Adobe Center specializes in integrated mental health, and educational therapies for individuals, children, and families with values of diversity of income, culture, and ethnicity, inclusion, advocacy, dignity, spirituality, and self-determination. She is also currently a marriage and family therapist with the Family Therapy/Play Therapy Institute. She is particularly concerned with the needs of the African American Family. Mary finds meaning an purpose in her life through a foundation that is anchored in the Word of God and constant prayer. Her desire is to serve God through every aspect of her life. One of her heroines, Marian Wright Edelman, wrote: “Service to others is the rent you pay for living on this Earth.” The opportunity to serve God and exemplify His Love through her professional work, her church, and her community is truly a blessing and one that she sees as a life-long journey. |

Calvin Natt played professional basketball for eleven years and became an NBA All-Star in 1985. Calvin is owner of the Natt Mortuary & Cremation in Denver, Colorado. He served as Co-Chairman of the Church Building Fund Campaign which was responsible for raising 2.5 million dollars in funding for New Hope Baptist Church. Calvin volunteered as Head Basketball Coach at Montbello High School for four years, was honorary Chairman for Kempe Center for Abused Women and Children Golf Tournament from 1984-1986. Calvin recently received his minister's license in October 2005 and is an associate minister at New Hope Baptist Church. more about the Executive Director
